The project “12”, launched by the ensemble “Saldās sejas” in August, continues, and the promise to publish a new song on the first day of each month is still fulfilled: this time it is the song “November”, the music of which is written by Uldis Marhilevičs.
This time, a whole galaxy of stars and owners of really strong voices gathered for the recording of the song “November” – soloist of “Sweet Face” Jānis Narkevics, energetic Aija Andrejeva, Uldis Marhilevičs himself and stubborn Liepaja resident Ivo Fomins. November is a special month in the history of Latvia, which is not for nothing called the “Patriot Month”, so this time the theme of the song is not accidental.
“I wanted to write something inspiring for my country, for my compatriots. Without the past, there is no future, many wise people have said. Therefore, this song is a kind of gratitude to those who rose and fell and won us their country, freedom and hope. We carry it all like a torch and pass it on to our children. Writing songs with Marhil is a real pleasure. It is a guaranteed professional approach, musicality, serious attitude towards the text and he is characterized by melodicity and fundamental harmony textures. Studio producer Gints Stankevičs has also invested a lot in the sound of the song. Huge thanks to Aija and Ivo for not refusing. Their voices are special, ”says the songwriter Guntars Račs. It should be noted that the composer Jānis Lūsēns has already addressed the December 12 song of the project “12”.
