November 8 Municipal Employee Day

On November 8, 1959, the Confederation of Municipal Workers and Employees of the Argentine Republic, COEMA, was established, a union organization that brings together all the Federations of Municipal Workers of the Argentine Provinces, for this reason the Argentine Municipal Worker’s Day is celebrated.

As recalled, COEMA was born within the union revolution during the presidency of Arturo Frondizi and with the 62 organizations as a base, with the purpose of organizing and unifying all the federations, unions and municipal unions of Argentina.

We know that the municipal worker is the great protagonist in the communities. They are in charge of preparing the city day by day to present to each visitor who comes to know or study as a possible place of residence. The municipal worker is said in all towns to be the main instrument at hand that the community leaders have to carry out successful management.

In times where the worker’s situation can be complex due to economic issues, knowing that our local government is one of the strongest economically makes us happy, but knowing that salaries are not adequate for that joy to be permanent in each municipal home, It changes our mood.

We need a truly sensitive state, which demonstrates the importance of men and women who, from their place of work, make municipal areas a place where responsibility, commitment and professionalism reign. This sensitivity is demonstrated with economic recognition.

We wish the municipal employees a happy day!!!
