November 20 strike: What hours will there be no metro, electric, buses and trolleys? –

Workers of ISAP’s Metro and other MMMs are taking part in the nationwide strike of November 20 – announced by ADEDY and GSEE – with work stoppages.

According to the Athens Metro Operators Association (SELMA), routes will not operate from the start of traffic until 09:00 in the morning and from 21:00 until the end of traffic in the evening.

This means that the Metro will operate from 9 am to 9 pm.

There will also be a work stoppage from the start of the shift until 09:00 and from 21:00 until the end of the shift and on the electric railway (ISAP).

The announcement of the Metro workers

In their announcement, the workers emphasize that “we demand the recruitment of permanent and regular staff for all vacant organizational positions, the reinstatement of the 13th and 14th salary, substantial increases in basic salaries, free public health, free public education, the fight against profiteering in basic necessities and living , extension to the contracts of the Employees with the STA.SY DYPA program.

For all the above reasons, we announce work stoppages, from the start of traffic until 09:00 in the morning and from 21:00 until the end of traffic in the evening.

This decision was taken in order to serve the striking protesters and enable them to go to the rallies en masse. At the same time, however, the union states that those workers who wish to do so can strike 24 hours a day with GSEE coverage.

Work stations on buses and trolleybuses

With work stops, buses and trolleybuses will participate in the 24-hour general strike declared by the GSEE.

In particular, buses and trolleys will run on the streets from 9 am to 9 pm. They will carry out work stoppages from the start of the shift until 09:00 and from 21:00 until the end of the shift.
