The Ministry of the Interior reminds that after November 15, drivers have the obligation to re-equip their cars with tires suitable for driving in winter conditions or those with a tread depth of no less than or equal to 4 mm, dariknews.bg reported.
According to the legislation, the fine is 50 BGN. We drive with winter tires until March 1.
All-season tires are a compromise that may be perfect for certain regions and low vehicle use, but certainly not for those who travel on snowy roads and use the same tires to go to the beach on warm summer days. The advice is from the experts.
In parallel with the “Winter” campaign, a specialized police operation initiated by the European network of Road Police Services Roadpol is underway, with an emphasis on trucks and buses. Traffic, criminal and economic police teams are involved in road inspections. Experts from the executive agencies “Automotive Administration” and “Main Labor Inspectorate” are also included in the control.
Within their competence, they will monitor the observance of the rest time by the drivers, the technical condition of the vehicles, the correct strengthening of the transported goods, the prevention of overloading, the correctly signed employment contracts, the observance of the working hours and the breaks of the drivers.
