November 11, Remembrance Day for two reasons

In Thionville, November 11 is a date that has a particular symbolism. Day tribute to the soldiers who died at the front during the First World War, it also marks the anniversary of the liberation of the city in 1944. Thus, a wreath is laid in front of each monument to the Dead in the neighborhoods-villages as well as at the necropolis military in Thionville but also at the landing site of American troops during the Second World War.
