Novelda is one of the Spanish cities where Modernism is present in the daily life of its streets. For this reason, one of the most outstanding tourist proposals is the Modernist Route through the city, a way of knowing the history of the municipality through architecture and culture.
Begoña Mayor, Tourism Technician of the Novelda City Council, explained to this newspaper that “for seven years we have been conducting various routes through the population of different kinds: from Jorge Juan, hikers, oenological, cultural, gastronomic, industrial? to show interested parties all the Heritage that exists in Novelda ». However, the Modernista “is the one that arouses a greater interest in the citizens.” In it “a tour is made visiting the most important tourist spots of the time of the city such as the Sanctuary of Santa María Magdalena, the Modernist House Museum, the Gómez-Tortosa Cultural Center, which belonged to the same family, the Old Square, the Church and the Casino.
