The duel of teams from the bottom of the table brought interesting hockey in the first third and four goals. The home team took the lead 3 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in Hovorka scoring to make it 1 – 0. It was 1 – 0 at the break. Shortly after that, Liptáci could increase their lead as they got to another power play, but the guests’ defense led by the goalkeeper Engstrand resisted. The guests gradually got into the pace, the lone Bull had not yet overcome Vošvrda, but from the 11th minute it was 1: 1. Farley’s fighting spirit benefited from the uncovered Šiška, who scored his 10th goal of the season. The guests were leading in 92 seconds, when Langkow scored the first extra-league goal with a run from Bull’s shot – 1: 2. The same player prevailed in the 15th minute, when he overcame Vošvrda after an individual escape – 1: 3.

The second third also brought interesting hockey and especially the home team’s effort to equalize. In the 30th minute they played a power play and shortly after that Jurík adjusted to 2: 3 after a scrum. The Liptovs felt the chance to equalize and it was already 3: 3 in two minutes, when Hovorka confirmed the move to the goal. Both Farley and Kriška could change the tie by the end of the second part, but they did not use their chances.

The Liptovs had three power-ups in the third part, but not only did they not use them, but they collected in the 54th minute. Ondrušek won the puck for Klemp in the attacking zone, who managed with the goalkeeper Vošvrd – 3: 4. The end of the match brought nervousness and the home team’s effort to equalize. They also got to the game with six skaters, but the score did not change.

We also had more chances from which we had to add more goals and the match would have developed otherwise. Later, Zámky was twice in our third and scored two goals.This must not happen, our aggressiveness in front of the goalkeeper must be greater.We got into the match for a long time to reverse or equalize.Instead of scoring a winning goal, we collected “I’m very disappointed with the performance of some players. I imagined the performance differently, more collectively. On the other hand, we missed three defenders and it was felt. We had to rotate the lineup, but that doesn’t change the fact that we had to win this match.”

It was very fought victory, but we are happy for the three points gained. ”
