Canadian hockey defender Shawn Lalonde has agreed to cooperate with the extraleague club HC Mikron Nové Zámky. At the same time, his management ended cooperation with Finnish goalkeeper Kristian Tamminen and Slovakian forward Andreas Štrauch, who were in the team for a month’s trial. The club announced the changes in the staff on social networks.
On Monday, the management of the club got involved in the defender of Finland Kalle Maalahti and at the same time they ended the cooperation with the Czech Daniel Kowalczyk. The moves in the team are a response to the unsuccessful start of the season. After the 10th round, the Novozámuck team is in the last 11th place in the table, two points ahead of Liptovský Mikuláš. Erik Čaládi’s men have not scored in five consecutive duels and have six points on their account.
The thirty-four-year-old defender Lalonde was already working in the Slovak extra league in the colors of Slovan Bratislava and HC Košice. He has been involved in several European leagues, he also made one start in the NHL in the Chicago Blackhawks jersey.
