The edition “Novaja rasskaz-gazeta” has been published since July 15 by the editorial office of the newspaper “Novaja gazeta”, which ceased operations in March. As part of the project, a magazine is published in printed form, as well as a website is created.
Unlike the newspaper “Novaja gazeta”, the magazine contains less news, but more journalism and essays.
The publication’s website “lasted seven days and nine hours” from the moment it was opened until it was blocked, according to the editorial office.
The publication of the newspaper “Novaja gazeta” was suspended on March 28 following the editorial decision.
Some journalists of “Novaya gazeta” were forced to leave Russia. Currently they are creating the edition “Novaja gazeta – Evropa”. The website of this project has also been blocked by “Roskomnadzor” in Russia.
