The final of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Shanghai, China (Sunday, 10:30 a.m.) promises some excitement. With Jannik Sinner, the world number 1 from Italy meets the long-time holder of the throne Novak Djokovic. The 37-year-old Serb has the opportunity to win his 100th professional tournament.
“I traveled here with the vision and the desire to fight for my 100th title,” said Djokovic. “Now I have the chance to play against the best player in the world and we’ll see what happens.”

In the Shanghai semi-finals on Saturday, “Djoker” prevailed against Taylor Fritz. He also won the tenth duel with the American. It was 6:4 and 7:6 after just under two hours.

Djokovic spoke of a “tough test” that he had overcome. «I had a few problems here and there on the pitch yesterday and today. But I managed to overcome it.” He wanted to avoid a third set and was happy that he got through in two rounds against the in-form Fritz.
