London: Novak Djokovic-Carlos Alcaraz final in Wimbledon men’s category. Djokovic qualified for his ninth Wimbledon final after beating Italy’s Yannick Sinner in straight sets (6-3, 6-4, 7-6) in Friday’s semifinals. This is Joko’s 35th Grand Slam final. The first player to reach the final. Alcaraz reached the final by defeating Russia’s Daniil Medvedev (6-3, 6-3, 6-3). This is Alcaraz’s first Wimbledon final. The match will be held on Sunday.
Controversy, warning
The semi-final turned into drama when the umpire warned Joko for delaying the game and interfering. Joko was deducted a point for making loud noises during the game. Meanwhile, the warning was given for deliberately delaying the game. Joko said after the match that such incidents caused stress.
