Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic, record holder of Grand Slam titles, qualified this Friday for the last 16 of Wimbledon, beating Swiss Stan Wawrinka, in three sets.
In search of his 24th ‘major’ and equaling Roger Federer’s eight titles on London’s grass, the current number two in the world ranking beat Wawrinka, 88th, by 6-3, 6-1 and 7-6 ( 7-5), in two hours and six minutes.
Nole, who added his 31st consecutive victory in the tournament and won the last four Wimbledons, will face the Polish Hubert Hurkacz, 18th in the world, who knocked out the Italian Lorenzo Musetti, 14th.
