The broadcasts of Formula 1 races will be on the Nova Sport station from 2024. It was announced by the Nova group, which obtained exclusive rights for the Czech and Slovak markets.
“The acquisition of the rights to Formula 1 underlines our commitment to bring the best sporting experiences and exclusive content of the highest quality to our viewers. Along with the UEFA Champions League, Bundesliga, LaLiga and NHL, another important global sports brand is being added, which has been growing in popularity in recent years,” said Dušan Mendel, head of sports at TV Nova.

The current holder of the broadcasting rights was AMC Networks International, so viewers of the Sport1 and Sport2 stations could watch the broadcasts. Prior to that, Nova TV also had the rights to Formula 1, broadcasting from 2006-2014.
Specialized magazine Business F1 Magazine recently reported that Apple is interested in worldwide streaming rights to Formula 1. The price for this license is expected to rise to two billion dollars per year.
