Nova Belgica 1624: Walloon Musical Comedy in New York by Michel Robert

Nova Belgica, 1624, is the new musical comedy in Walloon by Michel Robert. Accompanied by around forty artists, he recounts the arrival of the first Walloon pioneers in New York. Marc Keizer wrote the songs and dialogues.

Everyone is getting ready behind the scenes at the Moustier-sur-Sambre cultural center. For this Walloon musical, nearly 40 actors are on stage.

And Nova Belgica is a very Walloon story that could often be forgotten. It is the story of the origin of New York and Manhattan and the first Walloons there.

Michel Robert has been carrying out this project for almost 25 years already. A long adventure for this inveterate Walloon.

And the result is guaranteed. The public was delighted to see this show. Nova Belgica will be back in February at the Couillet cultural center and in April in Fosses-La-Ville.
