Bola.net – Jesse Lingard is currently unemployed. The former Manchester United player is now without a club after being released by Nottingham Forest free transferJune 2, 2023.
The 2023-2024 season transfer market has not yet started. Lingard is actually still under contract with Nottingham until 30 June 2023.
Even so, Forest seems to be trying to speed up the process of forming a team to welcome the new season. They released a number of players early, including Lingard, and then immediately started looking for replacements.
Quoting Sky Sports, Lingard was one of around six players released by Nottingham at the same time. Currently Lingard will try to find a new club.

Nottingham Forest’s decision to release Lingard was actually not that surprising. Speaking of performance, Lingard hasn’t really been very convincing in the last year he has defended Forest.
He only played 17 times in the entire 2022-2023 Premier League season. In these 17 matches, Lingard only played 927 minutes. That is, he did not play much of the full match.
Lingard’s contribution was also minimal. He couldn’t score or assist in the Premier League. Only two goals and two assists in the Carabao Cup.

A year ago he was still a MU player
Being without a club in June, before the new season’s transfer market opens, is certainly a bad record in Lingard’s career. He’s only 30 years old, should be playing regularly for the team.
Just a year ago, Lingard was still a Manchester United player. He was loaned to West Ham and played quite well there, but then chose to accept Forest’s offer.
Now, Lingard is without a club. Evidence that a player’s career can change so quickly. Not all former MU players are qualified.
