‘Notting Hill’ director Roger Michell (65) passed away | showbiz

The 1999 film Notting Hill, starring Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts, was Michell’s biggest success. The film was nominated for three Golden Globes. He has also directed the film ‘Venus’, starring Ben Affleck and Samuel L. Jackson, and ‘The Mother’ with Daniel Craig. With the latter he was going to make the Bond film ‘Quantum of Solace’ in 2006, but at the last minute he canceled due to ‘concerns about the screenplay’.

Roger Michell had four children: Harry, Rosie, Maggie and Sparrow.
