Director Roger Michell, best known for his work on the well-known film Notting Hill, passed away at the age of 65. It is not clear what caused the director to die.
His family announced the news with “great sadness”.
The 65-year-old director was born in South Africa, and later moved to the United Kingdom. He worked on movies like Changing Lanes (2002) stars actors Ben Affleck as Samuel L. Jackson in The Mother (2003) with actor Daniel Craig.
Notting Hill, a 1999 film starring Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts, was Michell’s biggest success. That film was nominated for three Golden Globes.
