They detained the Red Pirate, who is supposed to have threatened mayors, policemen and businessmen from Sliven, bTV learned from its sources. This happened around the Boyan Cemetery in Sofia.
For months, they had received threats in their e-mail, most of them signed by the Red Pirate.
The arrest was made at 8:30 p.m. by employees of the DG “National Police”, the Ministry of the Interior officially announced.
The threats date back to August 2023, involving more than 10 individuals – members of the public, government officials and even law enforcement officers. At the moment, reports of threats against magistrates continue to be received, said the spokesperson of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Sliven, Veneta Dobreva, earlier today.
The threats are related to killing and causing bodily harm. The perpetrator himself claims in some of the emails that he graduated with honors from a local Sliven high school.
More information is expected at a briefing on Friday.
The police have established that the Red Pirate is the person who, in addition to Judge Vladislava Tsarigradska, also threatened the Director of the SDVR and ministers. Among them are Deputy Prime Minister Maria Gabriel and Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov.
