New Delhi: (KVARTHA) BSN’s chief executive said they plan to launch 5G services in the country in January next year. He said that although 4G services have not yet been officially announced in the country, BSNL is working fast to upgrade the network and the flow of people to BSNL has increased as private telecom companies have stepped up increase

L Srinu, BSNL Chief General Manager, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, said this. He clarified that BSNL will not increase any plan rate and instead will focus on providing quality service to the customers.

Srinu was briefed on upgrading 4G to 5G networks. BSNL is working to upgrade 4G services to the next level and offer quality services and plans to launch 5G services in the country by Makara Sankranti in January next year, The Hindu quoted Srinu as saying.

He was speaking at a press conference about upgrading the towers. Responding to the rate hike by private companies, he revealed that 12000 people have joined BSNL through portability in the last few days alone.

BSNL has also introduced a plan to continue providing Wi-Fi connections to its roaming customers under the name ‘Sarvatra Wi-Fi’.
