NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Section 5311 (ADTAP), 5310, 5339, 5307 and matching State funds or a combination thereof. This is to inform the public that a public hearing will be held on the proposed SFY 2025-26 Community Transportation Program Application to be submitted to the North Carolina Department of Transportation no later than October 4, 2024. The public hearing will be held on August 19th at 7pm at the Catawba County Justice Center, Board of Commissioners Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, 100 Government Drive, Newton, NC before the Catawba County Board of County Commissioners. Those interested in attending the public hearing and in need of auxiliary aids or services under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or a language translator should contact Heather Ball by August 16th at 828-695-5609 or by email at [email protected]. The Community Transportation Program provides assistance in coordinating existing transportation programs operating in Catawba County as well as providing transportation options and services for communities within this service area. These services are currently provided through the use of the local transit system. Services are provided by Greenway Public Transit. The total estimated amount requested is for the period of July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026. NOTE: The amount of the local share is subject to the availability of State funding.
