Nothing Phone may also appear in a Lite version (1)

Obviously, it is still too early to talk about how successful the Nothing Phone (1) is and whether there will be a continuation of the mid-range device, which is mostly made unique by the special back panel design. However, according to the news, a mobile is still under development at Carl Pei’s company, which is none other than the Lite version of the smartphone in question.

According to rumors, the Nothing Phone (1) Lite will be similar to the original model, but the special Glyph surface packed with LED lights will be left behind, instead it will be equipped with a smooth glass back. Support for wireless charging may also disappear from the device, but 33-watt cable fast charging may still be part of its capabilities, and according to the source, a 42-watt adapter may be packed in the box of the Lite model.

As a matter of fact, the manufacturer has denied that such a smartphone exists, yet rumors continue to fly, including that this particular Nothing Phone (1) Lite will be cheaper than the original model. The device is said to be priced at $316 in local currency in India, with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Nothing Phone (1) is available for 417 rupees in this region, but in the cheapest configuration, 8 GB of RAM serves.

Other sources also mentioned that the Lite edition of the phone may include a slightly larger battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh instead of 4,500, because if the mobile does not get the special back cover (as well as wireless charging), then the removed technology could be replaced by a larger farm.

For now, of course, these rumors are far from being confirmed, in fact, Nothing denies the existence of the device, but this would not be the first time that a product that has been refuted several times finally reaches the store shelves. The only question is whether, even if cheaper, the Nothing Phone (1) is interesting enough without the special back design to be worthy of the attention of the buying public and their hard-earned money.
