Nothing Launches Wireless Earbuds ear (1), Sold For IDR 1.5 Million

In February last Nothing has announced that there will be a first product in development and will launch this year. Yes! The first product launched by Nothing was a wireless earbud aka TWS which has a very unique design.

The TWS came with the call Nothing ear (1) and it officially launched on July 27th. Once again what stands out from these wireless earbuds is their design which is different from most of the common TWS that are widely available in the market.

The Nothing ear (1) charging case is made with a transparent body and the user can see the inside through the clear plastic. Honestly, it’s safe to say that Nothing did manage to pack this wearable into a much better look than expected.

The earbuds are made in such a way with an in-ear design at the ends which are covered by silicone. Meanwhile, every earbud, including the charging case has the product name engraved on it. The earbuds weigh 4.7 grams each and feature 11.6mm drivers from Teenage Engineering.

Another attraction, Nothing has equipped this first TWS with IPX4 certification. That is, Nothing ear (1) is resistant to sweat and splashes of water. Nothing also says that this new device has in-ear detection capabilities

With the companion app installed on the smartphone, users can also adjust active noise cancellation, activate transparency mode, and change equalizer settings. There is also a Find My Earbud feature in the application. This companion app is available already for Android and iOS users.

Nothing also boasts that the earbuds will provide 4 hours of battery life with ANC turned on and 5.7 hours with ANC turned off. The charging case requires a total of up to 34 hours of battery life. Users will be able to charge the case via the USB-C port or by placing it on a Qi wireless charger.

Nothing ear (1) will be available starting August 17 in several countries and regions including the United States, Europe, India and the United Kingdom. However, there will be a limited sale via the Nothing website on July 31. The earbuds will sell for US $ 99 or around Rp. 1.5 million. in the United States market.
