The new electric crossover in the interior offers two alternatives. A simpler layout with a vertically positioned screen in the style of the current class S looks elegant, technological enthusiasts will be appealed more by a dashboard composed of three large and curved screens.

It consists of one piece of curved glass with a width of 141 centimeters. It has three built-in high-resolution screens. The gaps between them should not be easy to recognize.

Thanks to OLED technology, individual pixels, including those at the edges of the screen, can be switched off. This should make the screen blend in with the dashboard. The desired effect is also helped by the ambient lighting and especially the upper layer of the “silver shadow”, specially painted plastic.
–
The passenger also has his own touch screen. If no one is sitting in the car, the screen will become a decorative element. For example, it will display small stars. 12 vibrating units for haptic coupling also respond to passenger instructions. Mercedes states that it has also worked on machine learning, the car has to know when to offer the user popular features. They will also be interested in the parameters of the system. It has an eight-core processor and 24GB of RAM.

It also offers sleep mode
EQS also has modern technologies up its sleeve, such as a head-up transparent display with augmented reality or sleep mode. Typically, during charging on long journeys, it offers three phases for a quick rest.
–
First, it puts the driver’s seat in the rest position, closes the side windows and blinds, activates fresh air ionization and adjusts the ambient lighting. Turns on soothing tones and displays the starry sky on the center display. The awakening is accompanied by “a slowly activating sound stage, a suitable scent and a briefly active gentle massage and ventilation of the seat”. Finally, the seat is raised again and the blinds are opened.

Showcase of electric Mercedes
The Mercedes EQ family will soon grow. The EQS is to be the flagship with a crossover body. The current EQA and EQC models will be complemented by the EQE sedan and SUV, as well as other models.

For now, Mercedes keeps the details of the EQS series variant under wraps. What is clear, however, is that it is inspired by the concept of the same name. It is to be the first car in the world to compress the value of aerodynamic drag below 0.20 Cx. The largest battery will offer a capacity of 108 kWh and a range of up to 700 km according to the stricter WLTP test cycle.
