Nothing Ear headphones (2) come in a new black variant
The manufacturer also worked on an accompanying application
Active noise cancellation support is coming to Nothing Ear (stick).
The company Nothing will introduce its second smartphone next week, but before its arrival, it has prepared a small appetizer for us. The British manufacturer revealed a new color variant of the Ear (2) headphones and at the same time several software gadgets for its other headphones.
Nothing Ear (2) in a new coat
The Nothing Ear (2) headphones were introduced this March in a single design with a predominantly white body. However, now a new variant is coming to the market in matte black color with smoky translucent plastic, probably to correspond better with the dark versions of the smartphones. The headphones do not differ in their equipment from the original model, and the price remains the same – at e-shop manufacturer you can buy them today for 3,624 crowns.

Advanced equalizer
With the new color of the headphones comes a small improvement to the Nothing X accompanying application. The Ear (2) and Ear (stick) headphones receive an advanced 8-band equalizer in it, in which the user can adjust the frequency of all eight bands, as well as the Q factor, which determines the width interval around the center frequency.
Thanks to this, it is possible to choose how wide or narrow the change within one band will be reflected in the entire frequency range. You can further work with the created presets – you can save them to your own profiles or share them with others via a QR code.
ANC pro Nothing Ear (stick)
Another novelty is the possibility to add an active noise cancellation function to the Nothing Ear (stick) headphones. However, this is a compromise solution that won’t work as well with open headphones as with plug-in headphones, but it could be enough to at least partially eliminate low-frequency noises (fans, air conditioning, etc.). For its ANC, it is necessary to update the firmware of the headphones, while the manufacturer warns that this action will affect the battery life. If you are not satisfied with the new function, it is possible to revert to the previous firmware.
If you like the Nothing brand, don’t miss the premiere of its second smartphone, which will take place on Tuesday, July 11. According to previous leaks, the Nothing Phone (2) will look practically the same as its predecessor, but it will see several interesting changes under the hood, mainly it will get a more powerful processor.
