PORTALMALUKU.COM — Symptoms after Covid-19 or long Covid is characterized as a condition that afflicts Covid-19 survivors with symptoms of viral infection that persist for several weeks or months.
Long Covid has indirectly affected around 31 percent to 69 percent of Covid-19 patients.
This condition refers to someone who no longer has Covid-19, but still feels the effects of it for a long time.
New study published this week in scientific journals Cell summarized data on 390 Covid-19 patients observed by more than 50 researchers. This condition was reviewed since each patient contracted Covid-19.
37 percent of patients in the study reported about three or more long-standing symptoms of Covid a few months after infection.
As many as 24 percent reported one or two symptoms around, and 39 percent reported no symptoms.
Citing reports Fortune, reported PMJ News, the results of the study identified four factors risk the main long Covid, namely:
1. Type two diabetes. Patients who have previously had diabetes type two is suspected to have risk greater experience.
