TRIBUNSOLO.COM, KARANGANYAR – Pregnant women are one of the areas that are prone to being exposed to the Corona virus.
For this reason, the Karanganyar District Health Office (DKK) has prepared several Poned Health Centers (Basic Emergency Neonatal Obstetrics Services) to handle pregnant women.
The Head of Yankes DKK Karanganyar, Dwi Rusharyati said, this step was taken to break down the TT occupancy rate at the referral hospital for Covid-19 patients.
“Hopefully pregnant women can be confirmed but without symptoms and a normal pregnancy without any risk factors can be handled at the Poned Health Center,” he said.

He said that in the future the Poned Public Health Center will also be able to receive patient referrals from non-Poned Public Health Centers in Karanganyar Regency.
Meanwhile, pregnant women with a good risk of age and comorbidities can be treated at the hospital.
Separately, Acting Head of Karanganyar DKK, Purwati said, several health centers that were prepared to become Poned health centers included Karanganyar Health Centers, Kebakkramat I, Jumapolo, Colomadu II, Kerjo and Tawangmangu.
“There are already those who handle deliveries at the Jumapolo Health Center. Confirmed positive but pregnancy is not at risk and has no symptoms,” he explained.
“But we are still under the supervision of doctors. We are coordinating with obgyn doctors,” he said.
He said, from the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, there were as many as 500 confirmed cases of pregnant women in Karanganyar Regency.
