Party Gerindra respect the plans of the Democratic Party, PKS, and Golkar to form a coalition on the nationalist-religious axis in 2024 presidential election. Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Habiburokhman, said that his party had also opened cooperation with other parties for the 2024 presidential election.
“We respect our colleagues who are conducting political assessments. This is a form of constitutional effort to seize power in 2024,” Habiburokhman said when contacted, Saturday (15/1/2022).
Habiburokhman said that his party would also open up to all parties for the 2024 General Election. He said that Gerindra had never had enemies with other parties in Indonesia.
“Gerindra also opens itself to all political parties to cooperate in the 2024 election. Our cross-party relations have never had a problem, not one political party is against us and as far as we know no political party is hostile to us,” he said.
So what is the format of the coalition that will be formed by Gerindra? Habiburokhman said the nationalist-religious format could be an option. According to him, that format is currently the favorite of all parties.
“Yes, that’s a good format, all coalitions that will be formed for 2024 will definitely lead to that. It’s just a matter of which party’s nationalist element remains, then which party’s religious element, that is still being explored until now,” he said.
“We communicate with each other, looking for a common frequency,” he continued.
