THE Finnish Toumas Katainen starred in a peculiar episode when exploding his Tesla Model S using bananas from dynamite from 2013 to not have to change the vehicle battery. Upon being informed that he would need to disburse an amount equivalent to R$ 145,124, more than half of the vehicle’s original value (R$ 269.7 thousand), Katainen ran out of patience and decided to put an end to the car. Along with youtubers specializing in explosions and objects, the Finn destroyed his vehicle and recorded everything. In addition to the price, Katainen did not know if he could carry out the replacement of the equipment, as Tesla would need to authorize the procedure for it to be carried out. “I thought it was better to just blow up the car. At least we had a nice end to the problems,” said the vehicle’s owner.
