The creditors of the television station did not believe that “I pay you next week”
The claim was filed by the funds Plenisfer Investments SICAV-Destination Value Total Returnof Luxembourg; the American Cyrus Opportunities Master Fund II Ltd y Sandpiper Limitedfrom Grand Cayman (yes, TV Azteca is doing business with a company from the Cayman Islands) with the intention of being able to collect more than 63 billion dollars that the company has in debts with these decent companies.

According to the document with the petition, TV Azteca controlled by Ricardo Salinas Pliego had postponed the payment of a bond coupon due since February 2021, which is why it was also notified by The Bank of New York Mellon, which ordered that he make an “advance” payment of 400 million dollars, but it seems that the president of the national television station did not find out because he kept answering in Twitter.
