Not Rp 10,000 per liter, this is the original price of Pertalite fuel

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – There was another price change on fuel oil (BBM) in September. Including fuel provided by the supplier business entity, such as PT Pertamina (Persero), Shell Indonesia, BP-AKR to PT Vivo Energy Indonesia.

However, especially for unsubsidized fuel sold by Pertamina, for example, the price was not changed. The price of subsidized diesel and Pertalite (RON 90) is still priced at IDR 6,800 per liter and IDR 10,000 per liter.

But of course, especially for Pertalite fuel, the original price, so-called “economic price” of fuel with an octane rating (RON) of 90, is not IDR 10,000 per liter. The economic price of Pertalite fuel in the period of September 2024 is actually still above IDR 10,000 per liter.

Based on research by CNBC Indonesia, this can be seen in the selling price at Vivo gas stations. Revvo 90 (RON 90) fuel equivalent to Pertalite is IDR 11,950 per liter.

Please note, the RON 90 price type is based on the MOPS published price. MOPS is part of the construction cost of supplying RON 90 fuel and diesel fuel from domestic refinery production and/or imports to the Fuel Oil Terminal, which reflects the price of the product.

MOPS is converted from US$/barrel to rupiah/liter. This uses the average exchange rate of the rupiah against the US dollar with the central rate of Bank Indonesia (BI) for the period from the 25th of the previous two months to the 24th of the previous month to determine the month it is while the barrel is to. unit liter equal to 1 barrel with 159 liters.
