The last time NASA successfully sent astronauts into space from the US was in 2011, with Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley as astronauts.
The rocket departed from the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, United States of America going to International Space Station.
Behnken (48) and Hurley (53), are experienced NASA astronauts who have been involved in testing the Dragon Crew capsule.
Hurley, a fighter pilot in the US Navy, was previously involved in the last flight of the space shuttle Atlantis in 2011 before it was discontinued.
While Behnken is a US Air Force flight test engineer who has spent 29 days in space with a travel time of 37 hours.
The rocket used on the 2011 space trip was the Falcon Rocket that took off from launchpad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida.
From 1981 to 2011, a total of 135 missions were flown, all from the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida.
On Thursday (17/3/2022), the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket traveled 11 hours from the High Bay 3 Vehicle Assembly Building to Runway 39B at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida, United States of America. .
