Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Ahead of Eid, the government continues to encourage public consumption, so that it can have an impact on national economic growth. Not only holiday allowances (THR) for Civil Servants (PNS), the government will also provide social assistance (bansos) to boost public consumption.
Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara explained that the distribution of various social assistance programs will be accelerated, namely the Family Hope Program (PKH), Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT), and Village Fund Direct Cash Assistance (BLT).
“We ask that it be carried out this month and also next month, so that it will be immediately accepted by the community,” explained Suahasil in a press conference, Thursday (22/4/2021).
In addition, said Suahasil, even though there is a ban on going home, the government will also campaign to send gifts to each other on Shopping Day. Online National (Harbolnas).
“Also the previous one was a kind of Harbolnas, so we want to campaign so that even though we don’t go home, we can send parcels,” he said.
When Harbolnas takes place, the government will cooperate with various platform e-commerce to be able to send shipments or parcels so that they arrive before Eid.
To note, the government is holding the Harbolnas Ramadhan program to increase public consumption.
In this Harbolnas program, the government will bear the cost of sending goods ordered by the community. The Harbolnas Ramadhan program will be held for 5 days before Eid al-Fitr, to be precise D-10 to D-5 Eid.
