The four elderly who are residents of Bantul died while undergoing treatment at a health service or hospital outside Bantul.

SuaraJogja.id – Not long ago the Head of the Bantul Health Service Agus Budi Raharjo revealed that one in 13 patients was confirmed positive for Covid-19 in Bantul was declared dead without congenital disease or comorbid. But it turns out, from the latest data recorded by the Bantul Health Office, it is known that not only one person, but four people.

This was conveyed by the Spokesperson for the Acceleration of Handling Covid-19 Transmission Bantul Sri Wahyu Joko Santoso or who is often called Oki when confirmed, Friday (18/9/2020).

It was stated that of the four people who died without congenital diseases, all were elderly patients.

“Until now, the number of confirmed positive deaths is 13 people. Four of them are no comorbid cases or without congenital diseases,” said Oki.

Oki explained that the four elderly people who died were over 60 years old.

From the data taken from the hospital where the four were treated, said Oki, there was no indication or sign of any congenital disease.

He confirmed, the four elderly who were residents of Bantul died while undergoing treatment at a health service or hospital outside Bantul.

Even so, Oki said that there were several factors why the medical history in question was not there.

“It could be because almost the majority of residents are not fully aware of how to carry out health control. That can also make the patient’s medical records not complete,” he said.

Meanwhile, Head of the Bantul Health Service Agus Budi Rahardjo asked the public not to underestimate the spread of Covid-19 even though he did not deny that the average patient confirmed positive for Covid-19 was a person without symptoms (OTG), who could recover in just a few days or weeks. .

“Most of them are OTG, but if someone says that Covid-19 does not cause death, in fact in Bantul there are those who died without congenital disease,” said Agus.

Agus also said that currently according to the latest research, there were findings that the corona virus had mutated.

The mutation of the corona virus, said Agus, was a form of self-defense for the virus to stay alive.

Furthermore, Agus revealed that the mutation of the virus made the possibility of transmission 10 times greater than before, plus virus mutations have also been found in five provinces in Indonesia, and one of them in DIY.

“You still have to comply with health protocols when you are on the move. It is important not to be infected or infectious,” he concluded.
