Not only on the island of Java, Vietnam also has ghost orchids

To be known, ghost orchids have bell-shaped flowers measuring 1.7–2 cm in length and 1.4–1.6 cm in width. Inflorescences appear under clumps of old bamboo at an altitude of 800–900 meters above sea level or mdpl.

Generally, ghost orchids only appear in a short period, two to four weeks in a year. The inflorescence will suddenly appear from the surface of the soil or seresah, then after one to two weeks the inflorescence will wither and disappear.

In one inflorescence can produce up to eight flower buds blooming alternately. Flowers produce the smell of rotten fish to invite pollinating insects.

Ghost orchids are very sensitive to drought, excessive light intensity, and changes in their growing medium. The flowers are dominated by dark brown color with the lip of the flower in the shape of an elongated spear with an orange pattern.
