Purchasing a car with a cylinder capacity of 1,501-2,500 cc engine gets a Sales Tax discount on Government Borne Luxury Goods (PPnBM-DTP). That applies starting April 2021. The car that gets the PPnBM discount is not only Toyota Innova and Fortuner, you know.
The Ministry of Industry’s Director General of Metal, Machinery, Transportation Equipment and Electronics (ILMATE), Taufiek Bawazier, explained that several car brands that get discounts, namely Innova Type G, Innova Type D, Honda HR-V, and Honda CR-V.
“PPnBM 50% from April to August, and tappering off 25% September to December 2021. This is Innova G, Innova D, HR-V, and CR-V including AT (matic) and MT (manual), “he told detikcom via short message, Thursday (25/3/2021).
All types of Fortuner, he continued, also get a PPnBM discount as stipulated by the government.
There are two PPnBM discount schemes for 4×2 and 4×4 vehicles. The scheme for 4×2 vehicles is a 50% discount, initially subject to 20% PPnBM to 10% for phase I (April-August 2021). Then a 25% discount, originally subject to 20% PPnBM to 15% for phase II (September-December 2021).
Then the next scheme for 4×4 vehicles is given a 25% discount, initially subject to PPnBM 40% to 30% for phase I (April-August 2021). Then a 12.5% discount, originally subject to PPnBM 40% to 35% for phase II (September-December 2021).
Other types of 1,501-2,500 cc cars do not get a PPnBM discount because they do not meet the local purchase requirements (local purchase) above 60%.
