Not Only Influencers, You Can Also Immediately Share Links on Instagram Stories

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Instagram is said to be testing a feature that allows users to embed link of stories for anyone. Previously, to embed a link in Instagram Stories, users need to have at least 10 thousand followers.

However, it seems that the way it works will be slightly different from the ‘swipe up‘used by the influence. Instead, it’s said to be in the form of a sticker, so other users tapping on the sticker will be directed to link embedded.

Product Head Instagram, Vishal Shah, told The Verge that they are in the testing phase to learn how people use the links in the app.

They will look for the types of links that people post the most, including whether those links are being used to spread misinformation.

“That’s a future system that we want to achieve, and that’s what we hope to roll out, if we can make this work,” he said. Gizmodo, Wednesday (30/6/2021).

However, this feature will likely remain limited to Instagram Stories.

Even so, there is no information when this feature will be released to the public. So far it is still being tested by a small number of users.
