So, on average, people with cancer have taken care of themselves. That’s why we don’t have many cancer patients who get Covid,” said Prof. Elisna .
The pandemic condition itself does not increase anxiety or stress for cancer patients. From a survey he conducted himself on 355 cancer patients, Prof. Elisna said that they were already used to managing stress with their own cancer condition.
“I did research, we asked cancer patients whether they were stressed by the Covid condition, the answer was no. Because he was already stressed with his own cancer condition. So he was trained in managing stress. When there is Covid, it’s not too heavy,” he said.
