Dutch football winger Cody Gakpo leaves PSV Eindhoven for the English Premier League.
The name of the author of three goals at the 2022 World Cup recently concluded in Qatar has been linked above all to a transfer to Manchester United in recent months. Finally, Gakpo will strengthen the “Red Devils” old rival, Liverpool FC.

According to Roman, Liverpool agreed on Monday the severance package and terms of the player’s contract with PSV. The English giant will pay 42 million euros for the transfer, PSV can get another 15 million in bonuses. Gakpo will undergo a medical in Liverpool in the coming days and then sign a long-term contract.
The 23-year-old full-back is a member of PSV and is originally from Eindhoven. He made it big last season when he won the award for the best working footballer in the Netherlands. He already had offers in the summer, but national team coach Louis van Gaal convinced him not to risk a reduction in playing minutes and to stay at PSV at least until the championship.
