Not in the cinema, but directly on Amazon Prime Video: Demon horror with “Stranger Things” star – from the “Avengers 5: Doomsday” makers – Cinema News

Horror meets “Squid Game”: Starting today, Amazon Prime Video will be releasing a new film, “All Fun And Games,” that is all about nasty children’s games and demons. A “Stranger Things” star is also in the mix.

The siblings Marcus (Asa Butterfield), Billie (“Stranger Things” star Natalia Dyer) and Jo Fletcher (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) live in Salem – the place that went down in history as the center of witch hunts in America at the end of the 17th century. Although they are completely different types, they still spend a lot of time together. One day, while on a bike ride, they come across a run-down cabin in the woods. In it they find an old knife and a diary.

Of course, one of the teenagers has to take the knife with him – and in doing so releases an ancient evil that immediately takes possession of Marcus. In his new host body, the demon forces the siblings and some friends (including Laurel Marsden, Kolton Stewart) to take part in a series of deadly children’s games. But in this version of sack race, hangman or hide and seek, the most that can be won is one’s own survival.

Starting today, August 11, 2024, you will find “All Fun And Games“ with an Amazon Prime Video subscription. So if you’ve always wanted to see the demon version of “Squid Game”, you can take a look here.

The “Avengers: Doomsday” makers have produced “All Fun And Games”

“All Fun And Games” is produced by Anthony and Joe Russo. You don’t really associate them with nasty horror gems, instead the directors are usually known for big-budget blockbusters like “Avengers: Infinity War,” the Netflix hit “The Gray Man,” or in the future “Avengers: Doomsday.” In their role as a producer duo, however, the siblings can also play other roles.

“All Fun And Games”, however, was directed by another directing duo: Eren Celeboglu and Ari Costa brought their feature film debut to the cinemas with this demon shocker. Although of course that is only partially true, because While the deadly children’s games have already been released in cinemas in the USA on September 1, 2023, the film with “Stranger Things” star Natalia Dyer will be available directly in the Amazon Prime Video subscription in this country.

Meanwhile, there is a real horror hype in the cinema again. “Longlegs” with Nicolas Cage finally opened in Germany on August 8, 2024. In the USA, the occult thriller has already broken several records. You can find out more about it here:
