Jakarta –
PT PGN Tbk as Pertamina’s Gas Subholding presents natural gas utilization products for the transportation sector at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2023 at JIExpo. The company offers gas fuel (BBG) with the product name Gasku, which is a natural gas service for vehicles.
Gasku users will experience cost efficiency. PGN provides CNG at a price of IDR 4,500 per Liter Equivalent Premium (LSP), so this price is quite affordable.
For vehicles, currently the natural gas used is in the form of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) but it is possible to develop it through Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) for vehicles with longer distances.
“Gasku offers added value to users, namely that it can be more efficient than other fossil energy sources and is environmentally friendly. Travel power is also competitive with other vehicles. Therefore, Gasku can be an energy choice in the transition period towards using new, renewable energy,” said PGN’s Director of Finance. Fadjar Widodo in a written statement, quoted on Sunday (19/2/2023).
Vehicles that have been converted to use Gasku Fuel Gas (BBG) can still use BBM, because the fuel operation becomes dual fuel (a combination of BBM and gas). For its use, each vehicle will be installed with a converter kit to be able to use the CNG stored in the canister.
“Users can be flexible in choosing fuel. By using CNG, users can save more. What’s more, Gasku will increase the amount of vehicle fuel, so that the distance traveled can be longer,” explained Fadjar.
