Not everyone likes that Grand Theft Auto VI will have a female protagonist!

Unfortunately, not only the game industry itself suffers from excessive sexism (just think of the cases of Ubisoft and Activision Blizzard…), but also “the other side” struggles with it…

This week we heard that Grand Theft Auto VI will have a female protagonist. The reactions to this are not unanimous. Some people are just waiting for the game to come out, which is completely understandable, since it’s been almost nine years since Grand Theft Auto V was released on PS3 and X360 (and GTA IV came out five and a half years before that, so really it takes a lot of time for Rockstar…). One camp, on the other hand, expressed displeasure that “Rockstar Games has woken up”.

This train of thought is approx. it can be traced back to the fact that it is a kind of deadly sin for them to have a female protagonist in the series, in which until now we have taken male characters from the street fighter level to the all-dominating royal position. This would be fine, because it is still possible to form an opinion about something (it is true, there is a good chance, especially in a political case, that perhaps the state-sponsored army would come to this, which often sends us to hell with ridiculously wrong Hungarians), but the situation there is already interesting , when a politician also expresses his displeasure.

Lavern Spicer’s name is certainly not familiar around here, but the On Twitter he wrote that “Grand Theft Auto VI will be woke and they will go bankrupt.” Spicer is a Republican congressional candidate. But also to read such from others, that it’s all starting again, and because of this he predicts that there won’t be a female prostitute or a strip bar in the new Grand Theft Auto. Another opinion according to him, no one wanted this, and he does not know why it suddenly became bad that there are also products designed mainly for men on the market.

We would only add to the whole thing that we haven’t seen a single second of gameplay from the game, but if Grand Theft Auto VI is already so divisive, we’ll be crying back to the second half of the 2000s, when an American lawyer, Jack Thompson he attributed all violence to games…
