Halfway good news in bad times: The Free State of Bavaria probably doesn’t have to raise even more billions to shoulder the consequences of the Corona crisis. As it currently looks, the borrowing of 20 billion euros approved by the state parliament this year is also sufficient for 2021, said the chairman of the budget committee of the Bavarian state parliament Josef Zellmeier (CSU) on Tuesday in Munich. Of the 20 billion in loans taken out, a total of 10.7 billion would still be available for 2021.
