While infection rates are plummeting in many parts of the world, it is reaching new heights in Russia. On Saturday, a new record was set in Moscow with 9120 new infections in one day.
The record-breaking spread of infection is partly due to the widespread use of the more infectious delta variant. And partly low vaccination rate in the population.
