Reporting from the page Ubergizmo, Spotify released a standalone application for the Apple Watch. This means users will be able to stream music from Spotify via the Apple Watch app directly to the headphones.

Users will be able to listen to music to their headphones with a connection such as WiFi or cellular data.
According to Spotify, the music streaming company recently rolled out this update to its users.
So if you haven’t received the update, the Spotify update on your Apple Watch will be sent gradually.
Previously, Spotify tested this feature earlier this year, but it looks like this feature is more or less out of date and made it available to more users when it was announced.
Now users can enjoy streaming music or podcasts from Spotify directly from the Apple Watch and without depending on the iPhone.
