A concert-event is held by residents and organizations that have appealed to the Council of Ministers against the plans for the creation of a Government Park and to stop any interference in the area of PYRKAL.
The concert is scheduled for Saturday, April 20 at 19:30, at the Dafni metro station (Kalogeron Square).
Residents say “yes” to an open sports, green, cultural and health park.

Our will to protect the quality of life of the citizens and residents of the wider area and to prevent the creation of a Government Park in our municipality, with every institutional – experimental action, remains unwavering. “No” to the concrete ministerial town. “Yes” to an open sports, green, culture and health park. Consultation with citizens, the local community and neighboring municipalities. Creation of a municipal life park space, with free access to all. The Ministerial Town with the thousands of tons of cement and the thousands of workers in it will forever alter the character of our neighborhoods and degrade the quality of life of the residents and the wider area. We call on the Government to:
- Repeal the provision for the Special Town Planning Plan [άρθρο 92 Νόμος 4864/2021].
- Stop all interference in the area of PYRKAL and respect the decision of the Municipal Council in force since 2011.
- Respect the institution of the Local Self-Government, assign the area to public control and not proceed in the absence of the local community with decisions that bypass the main body of the citizens’ permanent claim for the PYRKAL site.
- It withdraws the unacceptable EIA which obviously does not weigh the real facts and the impacts of the cement park as well as any other implementation action of this plan.
