One of the two Train passengers (KA) Local Pangrango, a Bogor-Sukabumi kinswoman with the initials IT, broke the glass at the Sukabumi station counter. He didn’t accept it when the officers didn’t let him in because he didn’t qualify.
“For this incident, Daop 1 Jakarta will take decisive action against the person who destroyed the station facilities and did something untoward,” PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta public relations chief Eva Chairunisa said in her statement, Friday (9/12/2022 ).
The incident started when the perpetrator and four potential passengers were about to board the train at Sukabumi Station. But apparently two of them didn’t get the vaccine.
“The two cannot show other documents, such as a certificate from a government hospital if they cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons. According to the rules, the two names are not allowed to continue their journey and are directed to the counter”. he said.
Potential passengers who didn’t accept it had it pushed officers boarding. Then he broke the glass of the station counter, which caused injury to the officer from the glass shards.
“The perpetrators were secured by the officers and are currently being taken to Cikole Police, Sukabumi for legal proceedings,” he explained.
Eva emphasized that PT KAI will take firm action against all individuals who commit vandalism like this. Her party asked all candidates to respect the officers who were carrying out their obligations and duties both in the station and on the train.
“Currently all services are active Sukabumi Station it can still work normally using the other 2 available meters,” he said.
Officers will check tickets and health protocol requirements before prospective passengers board the train. The ticket control system is already integrated with the PeduliLindungi application.
Aspiring users who have not carried out the vaccine in accordance with the provisions will not be able to travel by train. They will be directed to process the ticket cancellation.
“Daop 1 Jakarta requires all prospective users to read and heed the rules that apply when purchasing tickets. Please ensure that all requirements can be met before traveling on your selected schedule and plan your departure time well for the station so that there is no rushing,” Eva concluded.
