Corona infections in Freiburg and the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district are increasing rapidly. Experts see exponential growth. “We can currently no longer track the contacts of every infected person,” says Oliver Kappert, head of the health department. In a few days, the region is likely to exceed the peak values from the spring in terms of new infections. Kappert assumes, however, that the hard contact restrictions can act like a breakwater.
