MOSCOW – Ukraine is more likely to be reduced to Kiev and its environs than ever to include Crimea and the Donbass Republic.

The statement was made by former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on Wednesday (27/7/2022) on his Telegram channel.

The one-time president and prime minister who now heads Russia’s National Security Council also posted two maps that help illustrate his argument.

What he said seemed no ordinary bluff, given that more and more territory of Ukraine has been seized by the Russian military and Donbass fighters.

The first map shows Ukraine on the border before the US-backed coup in 2014, including Crimea and the two eastern regions of Donetsk and Lugansk.

A month after Washington-backed militants seized power in Kiev, Crimea voted to rejoin Russia, while the two Donbass regions declared independence.

“In the mind of the president of Ukraine, ravaged by psychotropic substances, this is the map of the bright future of his country,” Medvedev wrote on Telegram.

“Western analysts believe it will look like this, actually,” he said, posting a second map.
