Nostalgic Visit: Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan Meets Prabowo Subianto

Jakarta

Menko Marves Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan admitted that he was nostalgic when the Minister of Defense visited him Prabowo Subianto. Luhut then conveyed a message to Prabowo. What’s in the message?

The story of Luhut visiting Prabowo was conveyed via his Instagram account which was uploaded, Thursday (23/11/20230). Luhut initially praised Prabowo’s humble and respectful figure.

“A few days ago, Pak @prabowo came to visit me. ‘Brother you don’t look like someone who has just recovered. He looks really healthy’ he said. That’s the Pak Prabowo I know, always humble and has a lot of respect for his seniors. This is the reason why. he is so respected by both friends and opponents,” he said.

Luhut said that although they often have different opinions, it is not uncommon for both of them to have the same thoughts, especially regarding the nation. Luhut told Prabowo that building a nation takes a long time.

“Even though we often have different opinions about several things, we also often have the same thoughts. Especially regarding national unity. That is an absolute thing that cannot be negotiated. I told him that building this country is not enough for just 5 years, it takes time “Therefore, differences of opinion and choices between us are legitimate, what is important is that we must always maintain unity between our nation’s children together,” he said.

Luhut also explained the Jokowi government’s strategic policies to Prabowo. Luhut admitted that Prabowo seemed very interested in continuing Jokowi’s programs.

“Apart from reminiscing about the times of studying abroad and establishing Detachment 81/Anti-Terror together, I also explained to him various strategic policies during President @jokowi’s administration. And he seemed very interested, including us talking about the program “-a superior program during President Joko Widodo’s administration which needs to be continued and perfected if in the future he is given a mandate by the people to lead Indonesia,” he said.

Luhut then assessed Prabowo’s current figure as more cheerful and relaxed. He considers this to be the effect of associating with young people, especially now that his partner in the presidential election is a young figure.

“Not much has changed about my little brother since 40 years ago we first met each other, when we both started our careers in the Red Beret Corps. What has changed is that now his demeanor is more cheerful and relaxed. I feel that perhaps this is the effect of hanging out with so many people. “Young people, especially since their current partner is Mas Gibran, who is still young too,” he said.

At the end of the meeting, Luhut conveyed a message to Prabowo to be able to run the country with professional people. He said that a strong and developed country needs a teamwork full of brilliant and innovative minds.

“‘Run this country with people who are professionals in their fields, Wo’. My message to him before leaving the room. I think Pak Prabowo really understands the meaning of my words. That being a strong and advanced country requires more than just resources. Abundant natural resources, but a teamwork full of brilliant and innovative minds, who want to unite to make it happen, he said.

It is known that Prabowo visited Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan in Singapore. This was done during his working visit to Singapore.

“Yes, I visited him,” said Prabowo in Singapore, Tuesday (21/11/2023).

Prabowo said Luhut had recovered. However, Prabowo said Luhut needed time to adjust.

Prabowo further admitted that he was happy with Luhut’s current condition. According to Prabowo, Luhut wants to get to work immediately.

“Thank God, he has recovered, he needs time to adjust. So I am very happy that he has, he wants to start working immediately, but everyone has asked him to adjust slowly,” said Prabowo.
