Nostalgia Flashback: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 are back

Good news for nostalgic console skaters: the games Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 are coming back. You can read more about this here.

On September 4th, Activision is ready announced on Tuesday. We will again be able to experience iconic, crazy endless tricks with legendary soundtrack. The cult games Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 are coming back – remastered. The trailer for this already exists:

New look – old sound

Skating is from the 90s? Right. Somehow. Back then, at the end of the 90s, skate culture not only blossomed on the streets, but also in many children’s rooms. Strictly speaking, on our consoles. It was about the time when the games Tony Hawk’s 1 & 2 appeared. Especially the second part of the series, released in 2000, became a game hit. So that’s 20 years ago.

With its crazy combinations of tricks and the legendary soundtrack, the classic has remained in many people’s memories to this day. The remastered games now promise full nostalgia flashback. The optically renewed games should come back with the original levels, skaters, tricks and mods from back then. What old fans should be particularly happy about: the iconic soundtrack with its nu metal, punk and hip hop evergreens can be heard again.

What’s new?

For this, the graphics are tidied up properly. Tony Hawk’s 1 + 2 are coming back in 4K resolution. You can also create your own skaters and parks yourself. However, these creator modes have been given a few new features. This way, the skate parks designed according to your own ideas can be shared online with friends, Activision reports.

New tricks and one online multiplayer mode the announcement also promises. The newly launched classic games will be available from September 4th for the PS4, PS Pro, Xbox, Xbox One and for the PC via the Epic Games Store. In addition to a digital deluxe edition, there will also be a collector editon.
